SSC CGL(Combined Graduate Level Examination) TIER 2 Exam 29 September 2013 Analyses and Cut Offs Discussion

After too much of speculation and waiting finally the much awaited examination of Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Tier 2 Examination was held today 29th September 2013 all across India. Thousands of aspirants have been impatiently waiting for this exam as this will decide the fate of their future lives. Best of Luck to all of you guys.

Coming to the analyses of today's exam I have done this analyses section wise.
Analyses of Quantitative Abilities Section of SSC CGL TIER 2 Exam 29 September 2013 -

There were 100 questions in this section with 2 marks allotted to each question. There was a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.

If you are comparing SSC CGL TIER 2 2013 with the previous year's paper of SSC CGL then frankly this year's paper was a lot easier than the previous one. So according to last three year analysis of Cut offs and going by the top 100 scorers of this section anyone who has attempted in the range of 65 to 75 in this section with 99 % accuracy has done reasonably well. By saying 99 % I mean that may be one or two come out wrong due to our silly mistakes as maintaining accuracy in MATHS SECTION is not difficult as for maths we all know that if we have solved the answer is correct otherwise we can not answer that question.

So if you have scored in the range of 120 to 130 than you can say it to be an average score.

If you have scored in the range of 130 to 145 than you can say it to be a good score.

If you have scored in the range of 150 to 160 than you can say it to be a very good score.

Anything above 160 will be excellent in this paper. This year as the paper was easy their will be loads of aspirants who would have scored more than 160 as now a days lots of engineers are also appearing for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination.
Analyses of English Language and Comprehension Section of SSC CGL TIER 2 Exam 29 September 2013 -
There were 200 questions in this section with 1 mark allotted to each question There was a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Going on the lines of the Section 1 paper Section 2 paper of SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination Tier 2 2013 was easy. Infact I should say that it was very easy. Many people have attempts in excess of 180 out of 200 in this section. Any score above 140 will be considered to be good in this section.

Overall Cut offs of SSC CGL TIER 2 Exam 29 September 2013 -

The overall cut off for this paper for General Category will be in the range of 390 - 400 marks including the SSC CGL TIER 1 marks. Last time this was 349 but due to easy level of paper in both TIER 1 AND TIER 2 so the cut offs are bound to go high this time.

If you have any queries regarding the cut offs you can ask them through comments.
