Placement paper pattern:
My friend appeared for the paper of Evalue serve in October 2007.
In paper there will be an aptitude paper. But it will not be simple one. It will be hard. Solve puzzles before going for paper.
Then they will give you topic. You will have to write on that topic. The topic given to my friend was India shining or not?

Then they will ask you whether you want to go for business or patent?
There will be questions about that.

e.g. topic given to my friend was related to google search(he chosen patenets).

That in google search pages are displayed from 1 to 10.

How will you design an algorithm that only relevant pages are displayed.

So questions discussed of above sort will be asked.

Interview:

In interview they will ask some questions like

What are no of f1 cars in India?

How will you calculate number of cricket fans in India?

For this you can refer a book named “how would you move mount fuji-Microsoft’s cult of Puzzles.”

The book can be downloaded at
