TechMahindra Placement Pattern

Here are the details of TechMahindra Question Paper. These are the details collected from a student of Basaveshvara College, Bagalkot, KLESCET, Belgaum and a colleague of from Nainital, Uttaranchal. All of them attended interviews in the month of June-July (Off campus for 2011 batch). However there might be minute change in the pattern (Not much)

The detailed breakup of the question paper is given below

There are in total 3 sections.

Verbal, Non-verbal and Quantitative Aptitude

In Verbal Section, the questions were from Articles, Tenses, Sentence Completion, Sentence Correction (Totally 30 questions)
In Non-verbal Section, the questions were based on Jumbled Words, Find the odd man out, Fill the  missing word, Find the next suitable word in the phrase and other related topics.
In Quantitative Aptitude section, the questions were majorly based on Time-Speed and Distance, Clocks, Time-work and Energy, Profit & Loss. There were 2-3 questions on Business Analysis (Some scenario from business will be given and its necessary to find out profit/revenue/loss etc)

Verbal and Non-verbal questions were completed based on R S Aggarwal book (Verbal and Non-verbal). And my friends feel they were quiet easy and less time consuming.

However, Quantitative Aptitude was not that simple. It involved lots of thinking. Most time consuming. But however, the problems were on similar lines as DIFFICULT problems from R S Aggarwal (Quantitative Aptitude). So for this section also, Aggarwal book can be referred.

Time Duration: The total time duration was 1 hour and 15 minutes (All 3 sections together)

CutOff: 50% sectional cutoff in all 3 sections and there is no negative marking.

About Technical and Personal Interview:

Technical Interview includes 2 different aspects when compared to interviews of other companies.

1. Questions on Recent Technology of Candidates choice. (Eg: Cloud Computing, Android, 3G, Virtualization etc). But however they were very basic and indirectly related to concepts what was already covered as part of Engineering Course.

2. Candidate was asked to chose a Operating System which he/she prefers and some set of Questions were based on the OS of choice.

Rest all questions will be based on c,c++ and OS. (For EC students there will be questions on Networking)

For some students, the details of final year projects were also asked.

Personal Interview, was very simple and the questions were inline with the ones that are there in the VIKAS book

Please Note:

For earlier batches, there were some questions based on reasoning. Answering some questions based on the figure given (A graph, A scenario, A geometrical Structure etc). So be prepared for this also, as the questions for this batch are not yet known, SInce TechMahindra is going on 2012 batch campus recruitment starting with our college.
