Mechatronics: Details, Applications, Institutes and Career Options
Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, control engineering and system design engineering. It is a multidisciplinary field of engineering. It was originally field of mechanical and electronics. It is closely related to robotics. The word “ Mechatronics” was coined by Tetsuro Mori, the senior engineer of the Japanese company Yaskawa in 1969. An industrial robot is an example of mechatronics.
